| Description | The funeral complex located in the north-eastern part of the village of Střílky is quite well known in the Czech Republic. It belongs to some of the most remarkable Baroque heritage sites – the architecture and the sculptural decoration is from the 1730s and 1740s – but at the same time the present appearance of this monument represents just a torso of an originally envisaged project. Many expert texts had been written about Střílky, but no comprehensive monograph was yet available that would reflect on the cemetery from multiple points of view and from the perspective of art and cultural history. These are the main aims of this book. |
