| Description | Despite the long-term and dynamic development of museum pedagogy and relatively broad interest in this discipline, research activities in this area are mainly aimed at investigating museum-didactic topics. On the contrary, professional works and empirical studies that would directly examine the museum educator as a profession, or any of the aspects of his professional characteristics, are among the relatively few represented not only in the Czech but also in the international context. The contribution will present key research works in this area over the past twenty years, which at the same time reflect the gradual establishment of this distinctive museum profession. |
