| Description | Mutations in the SARS-CoV-2 virus alter its properties and reduce the effectiveness of vaccines targeting its original 2019 form.Dozens of new vaccines against the covid-19 pathogen are currently under development and are expected to be effective against different variants of the virus, as well as studies of the efficacy of already registered vaccines against the omicron variant, including an assessment of the value of booster doses. |
