Description The study of geography teaching at the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno is undergoing substantial changes. These changes are mainly related to the strengthening of teaching competence of future geography teachers and also to the process of innovating teacher training for the new accreditation of the study programme. The most significant change is the pillars of teacher competence. The aim of the poster is to visualize the connection of the pillars of teacher competence with the geography teaching curriculum at the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. The poster demonstrates the intensity and range of implementation of each pillar in stipulated courses in Bachelor's and Master's studies. It presents a reflection on the fact that connecting the pillars and subjects is itself a basic, but the simplest step. The realistic implementation of the pillars in geography teacher education courses is a challenge not only for the whole department but also for other faculty.
