Citation
Description This handbook is published in an effort to introduce a completely new part of this legislation, which focuses on clouds and cloud services in the Czech Republic. A wide range of technical and procedural obligations have been imposed on public authorities based on a number of new or amended legal provisions, and navigating them is not easy. The handbook therefore contains not only an explanation of all the newly introduced processes, but also guidance on how to proceed in various situations. The author draws on his own experience at the National Office for Cyber and Information Security and lists common mistakes that happen in practice, as well as some practical advice. As IT services are often outsourced to the private sector, all this legislation is relevant not only for public authorities but also for private companies that provide their services to the public administration. In fact, according to the current legislation, they must be registered in the cloud computing catalogue. This book is not intended to serve only lawyers, but to be an introduction to cloud regulation for anyone who is or wants to be involved in cybersecurity, whether procedurally, legally or technically.
