| Description | The article is dedicated to a comparative analysis of two translations of Romain Gary's autobiographical novel A Promise at Dawn. The first of them was made by Elena Pogozheva and appeared in 1993, the second belongs to Leonid Efimov and was completed 13 years later than the first, in 2006. The translation texts are compared from the prospective of reproducing the pragmatic potential of the original text. |
