| Description | The theme of this year’s conference, “Wound Care Across the Lifespan: From Childhood to Old Age,” is not only timely but also very broad and deeply complex. Healthcare professionals encounter a wide variety of wounds at different stages of human life, reflecting the age-related, physiological, and pathological changes that patients face. From newborns with congenital defects, through adolescents with injuries, to elderly patients with chronic wounds—every stage of life presents its own specific challenges. Our shared goal is to ensure not only effective treatment of acute and chronic wounds, but also the prevention of complications and the minimization of negative impacts on patients’ quality of life. At the ČSLR Congress, we come together to deepen our knowledge and skills, share best practices, research findings, and innovations that drive advancements in wound care. It is a great honor for us to have leading experts from various fields of medicine among us, who will share their experiences and new insights in this rapidly evolving field. I believe that the congress will contribute to further strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, which is key to achieving optimal outcomes in the care of patients with various types of wounds. I look forward to an inspiring and beneficial professional program, which will consist of both invited and submitted presentations, practical workshops, and, above all, our joint discussions. |
