Description | The outcome of the project is an optimized pocket analyzer for detecting the presence of bacteria in clinically relevant samples, and its functionality has been validated for the pathogen Chlamydia trachomatis. In our laboratories, a pocket analyzer has been developed for the detection of antibodies in liquid samples. This device includes all the essential components required for autonomous measurement, including a detection strip with a designated area for sample application and control measuring electronics. An example of the measurement procedure: the analyzed sample is applied to a disposable strip, where a biochemical reaction takes place. The strip is then inserted into the analyzer's slot, measured, and the result is obtained within a maximum of 10 minutes from sample application. Within the project, the device was optimized and miniaturized, and its functional properties were verified. All procedures involving the device have been adjusted to be as simple as possible for the end user. The measurement principle has been refined and validated for the detection of the pathogen in the analyzed sample. |
