Citation
Description The beginning and development of Czech structuralism is inseparably linked to the scientific activities of the Prague Linguistic Circle, which was founded almost a century ago, in 1926. Now, after a hundred years of the existence of this scientific project, we are in a situation in which we can ask: Is Czech structuralism still relevant? Isn't this methodology born in modernism already passé? Is it no longer just a historical conception? Is Czech structuralism still useful and inspiring? What is the relation of Czech structuralism to modernism and postmodernism? In other words, one can ask: What role does Czech structuralism play in contemporary literary science and theory? – The paper answers the following questions.
