| Description | The aim of the paper is to identify what changes have occurred in procedural, staffing and operational standards during the pandemic and whether these changes have had an impact on the reformulation of social service delivery standards. Research was carried out in homes for the elderly and in social field services in a selected region, which focused on changes in the provision of care during the pandemic in social institutions. The research showed that in both homes for the elderly and in social field services there were changes in the fulfilment of all three types of quality standards, which had a significant impact on the progress of care provision. The qualitative method found that there was no need to change quality standards due to the pandemic. The change in standards is based on their obsolescence, extensiveness, outdated notion of quality and universality to different types of social care providers. |
