Description | In the last decades, increased interest in imaging of elements/metals/proteins distribution of tissues, mainly in pharmaceutical, biomedicine research, or life science with direct application of research to specific problem/disease [1-3]. As WHO data indicates, cerebrovascular events are one of the main causes of mortality in developed nations. The key to success is time (as short as possible). Bio-degradable iodinated nanoparticles (IoNPs) could be an invaluable addition to the existing contrast agents used in medicine. A complete investiga-tion into the pharma-cokinetics and dynamics of IoNPs is essential to address this issue. With the combination of CT (computed tomography) and LA-ICP-MS imaging, this comprehensive evaluation verifies the treatment strategy's overall success, positioning LA-ICP-MS as a potential "gold standard" imaging method for researching and applying IoNPs in theranostics. |
