Description | The presentation reflects on my attempts to introduce Patanjali's Yoga-darsana and the Bhagavadgita's karma- and bhakti-yoga together with tantric search for immortality to future postural yoga instructors throughout their yoga-teaching training course. It thematises difficulties and strategies of transcending gaps in elementary cultural presumptions, lacking cultural (and historical) knowledge and positionality in divergent social environments with diverging values, aims and possibilities. It will elaborate on meaningful compromises and limited results. |
