Description Rudolphine Tables, published in Ulm during 1627, are considered to be Kepler´s main work. These tables allowed the user to calculate planetary positions for any particular time in the past or future. Among other things Kepler presented tables of logarithms and solved the equation used to describe true (mean) anomaly as a function of the eccentric anomaly with the help of iteration and interpolation procedures. Using these tables, it was possible, for the first time in history, to predict the transits of Mercury and Venus across the solar disk.
