| Description | Study of patents of arms always brings interesting results because of their uniqueness as historical documents. We can watch changes in status of recipients of the charters, villages were often elevated to market towns and market towns to towns, what reduced economic power of royal cities in Pre-White-Mountain period. The charters were searched from diplomatic point of view, the universal formulaic pattern was sought. I also made thorough research of blazons. It showed German ones were more precisely done than the Czech ones. Very important part of the book is an overview of the abstracts of the charters. |
