Description The first stage of the project CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000593 is focused on the preparation of samples of filter material with applied plasma pretreatment. The cohesion between the substrate and the nanofiber layer depends on the properties of both materials and is generally low. For applications that require high adhesion, an adhesive is usually added to the product. However, this step almost always reduces the breathability of the resulting product, which is not desirable in the field of filter media. The main goal was to verify the increase in adhesion of nanofibers prepared by the electrospinning method to the substrate, the surface of which was activated by plasma generated using a dielectric barrier discharge (DCSBD – diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge) while maintaining the parameters required for materials of the ePM1 60-80% filtration class according to the ISO 16890 standard (previously approximately F7 – F9 according to EN 779).
