Description Lytic bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria. Currently, they are of interest primarily as non-traditional therapeutic agents that complement standard antibiotic treatment of bacterial infections. Since they recognize only a specific type of bacteria, they can also be used in the field of diagnostics. To assess the safety of bacteriophage dosage forms, it is necessary to monitor their pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics during phage therapy. Immunodetection methods can be used for this, which require a sufficiently affinity and specific antibody. The presented technical solution aims to provide such an antibody against bacteriophage 812 K1/420, which is, for example, part of a therapeutic preparation used in an ongoing clinical trial.
