| Description | Languages differ in terms of phonetic systems: both in the number of sounds and in their articulatory characteristics. This results in various systematic and articulatory errors in the pronunciation of Dutch sounds by foreign speakers. However, a closer analysis of the students' pronunciation recordings reveals that there are also other types of errors in pronunciation, such as errors caused by orthographic influences or resulting from the influence of foreign languages that someone learned before Dutch (such as English and German). There are also individual tendencies to repeat specific errors in the pronunciation of Dutch sounds. The aim of the presentation is to analyse these errors in detail and to highlight their importance in the process of learning Dutch pronunciation. |
