Description Veselí nad Moravou was an extremely small serf town, but it was fortified in the Middle Ages. To this day, only a few significantly rebuilt relics of the walls have survived. The limited information available about the fortifications has been expanded in recent years by rescue archaeological research. This article attempts to describe the uncovered relics of the town fortifications, mainly on the basis of new archaeological research, and to reconstruct their possible appearance and layout on the basis of other sources. At the same time, we would also like to briefly consider the possibilities of researching the fortifications of small towns, its benefits and possibilities.
