| Description | The paper focuses on a comparison of Czech language textbooks for learners of Czech as an additional language at the A1 level. It analyzes the topics covered by individual publications and the ways in which these topics are linked to grammar instruction. The aim is to identify similarities and differences in how the textbooks approach the selection and sequencing of topics, as well as the grammatical structures associated with them. The analysis examines which grammatical phenomena are introduced in connection with specific topics, their order of presentation, and whether some textbooks omit certain grammatical features at this level in comparison with others. The outcome will be a schematic overview illustrating the possibilities of combining different textbooks and their mutual compatibility. This overview is intended as a practical tool for teachers who wish to flexibly combine materials from various sources and optimize the teaching of Czech as an additional language. The paper contributes to the discussion on the standardization and consistency of A1-level teaching materials and offers practical recommendations for their effective use. |
