| Description | Students with a different mother tongue (DMT) face specific challenges when planning their future. Language barriers, unfamiliar educational systems, cultural differences, and limited awareness of labour market opportunities can all hinder their full integration, access to appropriate education, and professional growth. During the online workshop, we will focus on exploring these challenges in working with students coming from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and on practical tools for effectively supporting young people with DMT in their personal and career development. We will address questions such as: What factors influence the career choices of students with a different mother tongue, and what obstacles do they encounter along the way? How can we work with language barriers and make use of visual and interactive methods? How do cultural differences and previous educational experiences affect career choices in the host country? What activities, games, and tools can help young people with DMT better navigate their professional opportunities? |
