| Description | Existing research has examined the impact of comics on learners, particularly in areas such as motivation, memory, comprehension, and critical thinking. However, within the field of history education, studies investigating the effects of comics remain scarce, despite their potential to enhance engagement and facilitate the understanding of complex historical concepts. This issue is especially relevant in the context of inclusive education, as traditional text-based materials are often less effective for pupils with dyslexia. The dissertation aims to analyse whether, and to what extent, educational comics can improve memory, comprehension, and motivation among pupils with dyslexia in history lessons, and to compare their effectiveness with conventional textual materials. The findings may contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of comics in the learning process and their potential as an inclusive instructional tool. |
