| Description | The poster showed the results of palynological research conducted in the Za Hájovnou Cave in 2024. The purpose of this research was to expand the dataset from earlier studies carried out in 2005 and 2014. In the lower part of the sedimentary profile, palynospectra similar to those from the earlier studies were identified. These pollen grains originated from the holsteinian interglacial. Higher in the profile, fewer thermophilous taxa were present, suggesting a probable shift to a colder climate. In the upper layers, which had appeared palynologically sterile in the earlier studies, many new palynomorphs were found. The properties and positions of the sediments were useful for formulating theories about the sequence of sedimentation in this cave. |
