| Description | Mobility can have negative environmental impacts, so seeking more sustainable transportation modes is advisable. Finding alternatives to air transport and evaluating more sustainable modes can only be done with the knowledge of travellers’ preferences. This thesis aims to identify the decisive factors and preferences of a selected group of travellers in the choice of transport mode. The willingness of travellers to shift to more sustainable modes of transport in the context of the destination and trip purpose is examined, as well as the identification of perceived individual barriers to this shift related to personal preferences. The socio-economic and demographic factors influencing the decision-making of travel participants are described in relation to the current life and situational context. The methodological approach of this work involves the use of discrete choice experiments. The research includes designing and implementing a questionnaire survey at the end of the experiment, focused on the differences in individual barriers affecting foreign and Czech travellers. |
