Description The ninth volume of the series summarizing remarkable phytosociological relevés provides new data on the distribution, ecology and species composition of seven vegetation types from the Czech Republic (Central Europe). The presented contributions deal with various habitats, particularly anthropogenic ones. We recorded communities with prostrate annuals of Euphorbia subg. Chamaesyce currently spreading at low elevations throughout the country. Two contributions deal with ruderal psammophilous vegetation dominated by annual species of the Chenopodiaceae family, namely Dysphania botrys (Chenopodietum botryos), and Corispermum pallasii and Salsola tragus (Bromo tectorum-Corispermetum leptopteri), both recorded in warm areas of southern Moravia. Nitrophilous herbaceous fringes with Parietaria officinalis (Urtico dioicae-Parietarietum officinalis) were documented with relevés in the central Labe River basin, for the first time in Bohemia. Additionally, well-insulated spring vegetation with Epilobium obscurum is reported from the Českomoravská vrchovina Highlands, and its syntaxonomic assignment is discussed. Alnus glutinosa carrs dominated by the stoloniferous fern Thelypteris palustris (Alnion glutinosae) were recorded in eastern Bohemia and north-western Moravia, and their ecological conditions and syntaxonomic position are discussed. Another contribution deals with Pinus sylvestris forests on ophiolites (Asplenio cuneifolii-Pinetum sylvestris) in the Českomoravská vrchovina Highlands to address a gap in the knowledge of the diversity of the local vegetation.
