| Description | The proven technology (OT) presents the possibility of preserving selected varieties of bicolor sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench.] by ensiling with the addition of a urea-based additive. Over the course of three years (2022-2024), microsilages were produced from sorghum varieties LATTE and PAMPA TRIUMFO XLT BMR using single-cut technology, which were grown at the Mendel University field station in Brno (Žabčice-Obora). The preservation process was evaluated with additives based on microorganisms, organic acids, acid salts and urea, control silages were produced without additives. The quality of silage was evaluated using classical laboratory methods, nutritional value (dry matter, ash, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, ADF, NDF) and the quality of the fermentation process (lactic acid, volatile fatty acids, pH, acidity of the aqueous extract, NH3) were evaluated. The technology is intended for agricultural enterprises with developed plant and animal production and for users in agricultural research (including universities) and state institutions. |
