Description ArchaeoVault is a repository designed for storing and managing research data in archaeology, built by the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University under the administration of the Institute of Archaeology and Museology. It is an open disciplinary repository intended for use by the professional community of archaeologists from across the country. The repository will collect and integrate various types of data: anthropological, geographical, and geodetic; material, chemical, and mineralogical; geophysical and geochemical; as well as 3D objects. The aim of the repository is to ensure the long-term and curated storage of research data, enable the integration of humanities and natural science data, contribute to the standardization of workflows, and automate the individual phases of data processing and transformation, from digitization and instrument inputs to final analysis. In order to increase the reliability of measurements, simulations, and modeling, as well as the reuse of data, the repository will enable the storage of paradata. ArchaeoVault uses the technologies of two research infrastructures: the architecture of the National Repository Platform (NRP) built by the EOSC CZ initiative and the Islandora repository system, on which the local node of the LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ infrastructure called Digitalia MUNI ARTS is operated. The core of the repository consists of the Archeo3Data repository platforms, which include several data collections of archaeological objects.
