| Description | The General Introduction provides a reflection of the main objectives of the book, which is the result of three years of collaboration between seven universities within the framework of the international EPSULA project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The initiative brought together researchers from the Czech Republic, Spain, Finland, El Salvador and Ecuador with representatives of indigenous communities from El Salvador and Ecuador. This enabled researchers to cooperate with indigenous communities to map, assess and preserve the languages and cultural heritage of their peoples. Aimed at educators, researchers and people interested in indigenous cultures, innovative education and intercultural dialogue, this book is a way of expressing gratitude to the participating communities. The results are authentic and deeply rooted in indigenous communities, helping to preserve collective memory, strengthen a sense of belonging and promote lifelong learning. This process has also resulted in a digital portal that brings together videos, teaching materials and methodological files designed for use in educational, community and academic contexts. |
