| Description | The chapter presents the rationale and application of an experiential and bidirectional methodology developed within the framework of the EPSULA project, articulated in three areas of action: academic, educational and social. In contrast to traditional models based on the unidirectional transmission of knowledge, it advocates student-centred approaches that prioritise their active role, autonomy and experiential learning. University courses strengthen the so-called 21st-century skills (critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity), while training and retraining programmes emphasise practical applicability and the development of digital skills through methodologies such as project-based learning, the flipped classroom and collaborative dynamics. One of the key results of the project is the EPSULA Portal, which integrates a collection of interviews and a methodological compendium structured in twelve thematic modules, designed for flexible adaptation to various educational and community contexts. Overall, the methodological approach promotes meaningful, transferable and socially relevant learning, consolidating the participant as an active social agent in the construction of knowledge. |
