| Description | The main objective of this work is to present the initial results of the field survey and revision of archaeological finds from deserted medieval villages in Ždánický les. The survey follows up on the research of the archaeologist D. Šaurová, which took place in the 1950s–1970s in the Slavkov region. The best studied archaeological site in this area is the deserted medieval village of Konůvky, which was also selected for the first field survey. A geophysical survey has identified several anomalies with possible archaeological relevance on this site, and, based on a digital terrain model, it was possible to identify previously unknown parts of the village. A typological analysis of iron objects obtained in recent years yielded several new items and confirms previous conclusions about the village’s demise in the first half of the 15th century. |
