Description The subject of the assessment are evolved igneous rocks represented by pegmatites and alkali-feldspar rocks (primarily granites and syenites), or and their metamorphosed equivalents. The main raw materials obtained from pegmatites are feldspar, quartz and mica. Only a small fraction (less than 10%) of these rocks contain rare elements and possibly precious stones to the extent that they can be mined. Silicate components contain a number of mineral additives containing Fe, Ti, Mn, etc., which often act as pollutants that negatively affect the appearance or properties of the final product. Choosing the right separation method determines the applicability and quality of the produced silicate product and the efficiency of obtaining accompanying critical raw materials. The methodology was verified at the workplaces of Masaryk University and the company K M K GRANIT, part of the tests were carried out in external laboratories. The testing took place on selective samples from selected localities studied as part of the ERA-MIN 3 project (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria).
