| Description | This output consists of the creation of two internal directives—specifically, internal instructions—developed in response to identified barrier situations. These barrier situations directly build upon two previous outputs: specialized databases. While the Specialized public database of barrier situations for people with sensory disabilities in public transport identified and described the barrier situations, the Specialized public database of alternative solutions to barrier situations for people with sensory disabilities in public transport proposed various options for their potential resolution. By amending prescribed internal processes, these internal instructions aim to prevent the occurrence of such barrier situations. Specifically, this output addresses the high failure rate of VPN technology (transmitters for the visually impaired) and establishes a systematic functionality audit. The Technical and Operational Director's instruction, titled "Test of the Command Transmitter for the Blind," defines technology inspections for trams within depots. The Transport Director's instruction, "Inspections of the Command Transmitter for the Blind in Operation," defines technology inspections for vehicles in the field as well as the functionality of the technology on electronic information panels at stops. As part of this output, inspectors were equipped with testing transmitters and underwent specialized training. All these activities constitute this output, which integrates changes in internal processes at the Brno City Transport Company with the objective of increasing the operational reliability of VPN technology in public transport. |
