Description The paper presents a didactic project aimed at developing plurilingual competences and intercultural learning among students of second foreign languages at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University. The project, inspired by the recommendations of the Council of Europe (2022, The Importance of Plurilingual and Intercultural Education for Democratic Culture, https://rm.coe.int/prems-013522-gbr-2508-cmrec-2022-1-et-expose-motifs-couv-a5-bat-web/1680a967b4 , p. 9), was implemented in courses of Business German, Russian, Spanish, and French. In the preparatory phase, students participated in sensitization activities (e.g., work with internationalisms, metaphors, language biography), and then analyzed the websites of international franchises and created an advertising poster for a fictional franchise. In their production, they multimodally combined visual, linguistic, and cultural resources, taking into account the target audience, i.e., the specific cultural context into which the advertisement was embedded.
