Description The Contemporary Czech family project is part of the cross-national research infrastructure Generations and Gender Programme (GGP), whose main component is the Generations and Gender Survey (GGS). Data from the second wave of the Contemporary Czech family project are now available for research and educational use. The Czech survey is based on a panel of respondents originally interviewed in 2020–2022 and re-interviewed in 2025. The original sample was obtained through probability sampling. The second-wave dataset comprises more than 3,700 respondents. Besides general sociodemographic information, the survey covers a wide range of topics, such as housing, partnership and parenting histories, fertility, singleness, division of household chores, intensive parenting, and intergenerational relationships. A newly developed module on first reproductive experiences was also included in the core questionnaire as part of the country-specific questions. The anonymized datasets are available via the Generations and Gender Programme Data Portal.
