| Description | The article aims to present the contemporary French humorous crime/noir novel and to outline its main features, which are essentially twofold: situational humor and linguistic humor. Three authors will serve as examples: Joann Sfar, Jacky Schwartzmann, and Franz Bartelt, whose humor relies on the systematic use of non-standard language, even slang, and who all draw on the legacy of the burlesque literary production of the master of the genre, San-Antonio. |
