| Description | As part of a lecture held in the "Slovo a slovotvorba" course at the Department of Linguistics and Baltic Studies, the session began with an introduction to the basic concepts related to the issue of sound symbolism (definition, distinction from iconicity, and possible underlying mechanisms). Subsequently, attention was devoted to specific methods of investigating this phenomenon, which were demonstrated through two experiments with native Czech speakers. Finally, the practical application of sound symbolism in the field of marketing was discussed. |
