| Description | The article examines a previously unknown indulgence charter issued for Jaroměř in 1366. The charter mentions a church of St Clement that is otherwise unknown. It also provides new evidence that the area surrounding the Church of St James was known at that time as the Old Town. On the basis of this reference to the Old Town, the article suggests that during the ducal period Jaroměř may not have been situated on the site of the later medieval town. |
