| Description | The monograph presents Rokštejn Castle as a lordly residence and central place embedded in the changing medieval landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. It combines archaeological evidence with written sources, building-historical assessment, GIS analyses and natural-science methods. The book examines the castle’s architectural development, everyday operation, economic hinterland, settlement context, landscape use and the destruction horizon of 1467.
