| Description | Migraine and endometriosis are among the most common chronic disorders affecting women of reproductive age. Increasing evidence suggests shared mechanisms involving hormonal regulation, chronic inflammation, neurogenic inflammation and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP). This review summarizes current evidence regarding the role of CGRP in migraine and endometriosis, menstrual cycle fluctuations and the potential role of anti-CGRP therapies. |
