Description The authors analyse the advantages of common sense as a methodological approach in scientific psychology. They suggest that common sense is useful tool for the critical evaluation of scientific theories, what they demonstrate by analysing of three selected theories of aggression on the common sense base. Common sense could be considered also as a methodological tool usable for constructing of psychological theories. The goal of presented article is to show that common sense is a reliable method of extending scientific knowledge.
