| Description | In the submitted paper the authors describe the method of computed tomography (CT) and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) in impacted teeth. Basic CT scans provide accurate and detailed information on the morphology and position of teeth impacted in the jaw and their relationship to surrounding anatomical structures. MPR improves the three-dimensional localisation of impacted teeth. MPR is so far the only reliable method for visualisation of resorptions in contact areas between ectopic erupting and impacted teeth and roots of neighbouring teeth. |
