Keywords Intracranial pressure; spontaneous intracerebral hematoma
Description Spontaneous intracerebral hematomas acutely increase intracranial volume and reduce intracranial compliance, thus potentially increasing intracranial pressure and reducing cerebral perfusion. We analyse relationship between the peroperative intracranial pressure (ICP) and the size, volume of hematoma and the time of operation. Our data suggest that stereotactic aspiration of hematoma significantly reduce ICP caused by spontaneous hematoma and we believe that our results can improve management of patients with spontaneous intracerebral hematoma.
