| Description | The chapter in the book which is volumous guide for physicians operating their own private practice, describes the mechanism of integration of healthcare established by law of the European Union. The law provides for public reimbursement of healthcare provided or sought in other Member states. The mechanism is based on regulation 1408/71 (to be replaced by regulation 883/2004). Nevertheless, the case-law of the Court of Justice applies freedom to provide services on healthcare sought abroad. |
