| Description | The article is a brief summary of my thesis which deals with the process transformation of drug users identity after prison release. With the framework of social construction of reality and the concept of institutional production of identity and with drawing on my experience with the project Drug Services in Prison (NGO Podane ruce) I ask a question, how are the new identities of former drug users changing before and after prison release and how is it possible to explain the acts of these people within the cooperation with the project which is often considered to be „purpose-built“ or „irrational“. The main source of information were thematic interviews which I held with four former drug users after prison release. |
