| Description | One of the central concepts in the Government and Binding framework is binding. Binding is partly defined on the coindexation of two referring expressions within the sentence structure. Based on earlier work by Tanya Reinhart, this article shows that binding is, thus, a hybrid concept which cannot be used to adequately represent facts of language. |
