| Description | Works that appear in miscellaneous manuscripts are usually dealt with separately in Italian philology. An new approach that takes into account recurring clusters of works in manuscripts, can provide better results: a higher number of witnesses, discovery of interposite witnesses wanting, a longer text to build a stemma on, sometimes can provide arguments for earlier datation of a text. |
