| Description | The article analyses one type of online commentaries (live text reports) in Czech, which are characterised by the presence of a chat discussion running parallel to the official text of the commentary. The interpersonal interaction among readers in such informal discussions is manifested by the chaining of the readers' contributions and their introduction of various topics and subtopics. The chat discussion is partially dependent on the live text report (which it occasionally even supplements), and shows a not insignificant amount of linguistic creativity and playfulness. |
