| Description | In this study, we tried to shed a new-rhetoric light on Thiry's poetry: his two main themes, woman and travel, are in constant intraction. They appear together in many metaphors (or what the rhetoricians from Liege call metasememes), being thus agents of the so-called mediation, a powerful cognitive means we share with the poet who manages to rediscover the world, finding new, trans-categorial links. |
