| Description | In historical linguistics is often used a term dialect although the source of knowledge are nearly always written sources which do not reflect spoken German at all. There ist an apparent tendency to identify written and spoken language also in the research of medieval office German in Moravia. It is not possible to deduce spoken language from written language because these structures represent independent forms of language existence which are mutually influenceable only conditionally and in very small measure. |
