Description The history of the Baroque adaptations to the Šternberk monastery can be followed by means of monastery annals, in which the construction of the monastery buildings in the 18th century is described under three great Provosts (Patritius Laurentius Lehmann, Patritius Johann Meixner, Johann Josef Glätzl). As architects worked there Carl Anton Reina, Antonio Beduzzi, Mathias Wagner and Mathias Schwartz. The task of building a completely new church after the project by Franz Anton Grimm fell to the Provost Aurelius Johann Augustin The monastery buildings were during the 19th century adapted for secular purposes. This brought with it an understandable range of changes to the interior floor plan. Nevertheless, a significant amount of the grounds serve to testify, up to the present day, the construction, social and cultural efforts of the great Šternberk prelates of the 18th century.
