Description Pyramidulka intervent project is developed as a part of the research program School and Health in 21st Century that includes monitoring of fitness and physical activity of 1st grade elementary school pupils. The principal methods of monitoring are: a test battery “Fitnessgram”, posture tests and newly drafted time snapshot of the day depicting content, intensity and volume of children’s physical activity. The role of a teacher is (in close cooperation with pupils and their parents) to evaluate and optimise pupils’ daily routine in order to positively influence their fitness. The results obtained during verifying of the time snapshot of the day yield actual information about physical activity of pupils in school as well as out of school. The results analysis did not prove any significant differences in volume and intensity of physical activity between boys and girls or age groups of pupils in 1st-5th grade of elementary school. The average volume of monitored group physical activities is satisfactory.
